Write of Passage – Collaborative Song Creation

A collaborative composition workshop that takes participants from spark to song. Write of Passage is a practical and inclusive format that explores how words, music and collective imagination can build something new from the ground up. No prior writing or singing experience is required, and the workshop can be tailored to any level of creative group – from absolute beginners to seasoned makers.

Through guided writing and storytelling exercises, participants move into vocalisation and explore the building blocks of polyphonic song – rhythm, counter-rhythm, melody, harmony and texture – co-creating an original vocal piece together. The result might be an anthem for your choir, a new work for a performance, or a unique piece born from the group’s shared creativity.
